The Macerich Company is a fully integrated, self-managed, self-administered real estate investment trust (REIT). The Company is the sole general partner of, and owns a majority of the ownership interests in, The Macerich Partnership, L.P., a Delaware limited partnership (the Operating Partnership). The Company owns or has an ownership interest in approximately 40 regional retail centers (including office, hotel and residential space adjacent to these shopping centers), two community/power shopping centers and one redevelopment property. It owns approximately 43 million square feet of real estate. Its portfolio is concentrated in California, the Pacific Northwest, Phoenix/Scottsdale, and the Metro New York to Washington, D.C. corridor. Its properties include Arrowhead Towne Center, Danbury Fair Mall, Desert Sky Mall, Eastland Mall, Fashion District Philadelphia, and Fashion Outlets of Chicago. Its community/power shopping centers include Atlas Park, The Shops at, and Boulevard Shops.
